Welcome to 2023! (and the return of Allioop Valentines and some back to school discounts)

Red berry cookies with white chocolate

Allioop berry and white chocolate Valentines

How is your 2023? I’m not really one to make new year’s resolutions - my willpower is so bad that I used to ask my son to hide the Mallomars from me - but the first weeks of January feel like everyone collectively takes a beat and regroups. Sort of a Breathe In … Breathe Out … and … DiveRightBackIn kind of moment.

And dive right back in is just what we do. Some of us have kids in elementary through high school who are back in school after vacation. That was always a mixed bag for me. I loved spending more time with them and being able to step away from our schedules while they were home, but it was also kind of nice to be able to sip a nice, quiet cup of coffee at my own pace when school started up again. Am I the only one?

Some of us have college students who are headed back to school. My youngest just hit the road and I miss him a ton but I’m also so glad he’s in a good place and grabbing the most out of his college years. If your kids are back at a school in New York State and you would like to send them a care package, send me an email at Allison@AllioopBakingCompany.com and I’m happy to create a school wide discount for you. It would make me very happy to help you send some sweetness to your kids.

Although I’m not any kind of sports fan, even I know that that as January moves forward we’re getting closer to the Super Bowl. My late husband was from Buffalo and a loyal Bills fan (Go Bills!), so I’m very touched by the way the whole country took the BIlls to heart this month. It feels like we’re collectively remembering what good sportsmanship is like and it warms my heart.

Speaking of hearts, Valentine’s Day is around the corner. Since you all loved them last year, we’re bringing back Allioop Valentines for a limited time. If you haven’t tried them yet, they’re a fantastic berry cookie with white chocolate and they’ll be available by the dozen, in Allioop tins, or in Allioop Appreciation Boxes (which come with a greeting card and a discount on future cookies). If I do say so myself, they’re a lovely, unique and delicious way to give your sweets (or yourself!) some sweets.

I hope that your new year started, and continues to be, healthy, happy and sweet.
